Show Notes Episode 69
Curious about the difference among tap water, spring water, distilled water, reverse osmosis water, and water filters? Tune in and learn from the co-founder, Warren Hellerud, of AliveWaters to hear more about the magic of spring water.
Warren Hellerud is one of the co-founder of Alive Waters and he's on a mission to help people gain access to pure, natural water sources. Alongside his co-founder, Chris Sanborn, Warren also runs a nonprofit organization called FindASpring, available at www.findaspring.org. Despite their business and nonprofit being direct competitors, Warren and Chris prioritize spreading awareness about the importance of drinking spring water and they're committed to helping people get access to fresh, wild, therapeutic spring water.
Warren’s perspective aligns with the philosophy of Charles Eisenstein, who eloquently stated, “The health of local ecosystems depends on the health of the water cycle, and the health of the water cycle depends on the soil and the forest.” Warren is a co-founder of Centro Awavana, a Yawanawa spiritual center that is directed by Hushahu Yawanawa.
Alive Waters is committed to sustainability, extracting less than 0.1% of the total flow from their springs to protect the surrounding ecology. Additionally, 11% of all profits are directed toward the continued success of the FindASpring Foundation. Currently, Alive Waters serves 3,000 customers, and the demand for clean spring water continues to grow. Ten perfect of Alive Water profits are donated to the FAS 501c3 organization to support this community of 80k to have free access to 2,000 hot and cold springs internationally.
With over 15 visits to the Amazon, Warren has witnessed firsthand the profound healing properties of spring water. Warren also serves on the board of the nonprofit organization Mothers of the Amazon, which is dedicated to protecting the Amazon Rainforest. Mothers of The Amazon aims to protect and preserve the lands of the last uncontacted tribes in the Brazilian Amazon, and preserve their cultures and the lands and cultures of other indigenous Brazilian tribes such as the Yawanawa, Huni Kuin, Shenenawa, Ashaninka, Katukina, Kuntanawa.
Warren emphasizes the need for collective action to achieve the ecological and social restoration required for spring water to continue sustaining life on Earth. Even if natural spring access is limited, there are methods to elevate regular tap water to spring quality by replicating natural wetland processes.
Today, we delve into the spiritual significance of water and discuss how to honor the Earth. We also explore the importance of using glass over metal for drinking water, the benefits of hydrating with natural minerals, and why not all spring water is created equally.
Just as water molds itself to the shape of any container it occupies (and you should SEE the beautiful containers Alive Waters provides!), we can learn to embrace adaptability, tranquility, abundance, and balance which allows us to navigate life's challenges with grace, ensuring personal growth and fulfillment. Warren's desire is to educate, inspire and foster collaboration on the wonders of wild water so more people can find clarity, peace, and gratitude.
